What is a sitemap?
A sitemap is an XML file that lists every page on your site. Search engines like Google use it to discover and index your pages faster and more reliably than crawling alone.
Your sitemap URL
Your sitemap is always available at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml. It includes:
- Your homepage
- All category pages
- All published listing detail pages
- All published custom pages
- Your blog/articles (if enabled)
The sitemap updates automatically whenever you add, publish, or delete a listing or page.
Submitting to Google Search Console
- Go to Google Search Console and add your site.
- In the left sidebar, click Sitemaps.
- Enter
sitemap.xmland click Submit. - Google will start processing the sitemap. Initial indexing can take days to weeks for a new site.
How often should I resubmit?
You don't need to resubmit manually — Google re-reads the sitemap URL periodically once it's been submitted once. However, after a large batch of new listings (50+), it can be helpful to ping Google by submitting the URL again.
