Bulk importing locations and service areas

Why use bulk import

If your directory covers a large metro area — say, 80 suburbs — adding them one at a time is tedious. The bulk import tool lets you add hundreds of locations in a single step.

Opening the bulk import dialog

1. Go to Locations in the left menu.
2. Click Bulk Import next to "+ Add Area".
3. Choose: Upload CSV or Paste List.

Upload CSV tab

Prepare a CSV with a header row and these columns (any order):

• name — required (e.g. "Kansas City").
• postcode — optional (e.g. "64101").
• state — optional (e.g. "MO").
• country — optional (e.g. "US").

A preview table appears after file selection. Click Import N locations to confirm.

Paste List tab

Paste one location per line in any of these formats:

• Kansas City
• Kansas City, MO
• Kansas City, MO 64101

A live preview updates as you type. Click Import N locations when ready.

Duplicates and limits

• Locations whose name already exists are automatically skipped — no duplicates or errors.
• Maximum 500 locations per batch. Split larger imports into multiple runs.

After importing

All imported locations default to Visible. Use the toggle on each row to hide any you don't need yet.
